Slow Database Restore After Apply SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2

Has anybody else experienced this? A full database restore used to take about 5 hours now take 12 hours after apply SP2. This is the restore from production server to the test server we run often. Both server now run Widows 2008 R2, SQL Server 2008 R2 64-bit.

The final output message "RESTORE DATABASE successfully processed xxx pages in xxxxx seconds (xx MB/sec). ".  Convert the total xxxxx seconds still get about the same time as before the SP2 upgrade. But the real duration shows on the status bar of Management Studio is 12 hours. Windows Task Manager show no network traffic during the initial hours, but heavy disk write is going on.

So my question is does SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2 change database restore? If not, what else could cause this?

Thanks,

Lijun Zhang
