Dear All,
We are currently running SQL 2005 version 2005.90.5057.0.
On an almost nightly basis we are getting the following error message
Event ID 17189
The Server failed with error 0xc0000000 to spawn a thread to a process or new connection....
What I think is happening is either we are getting too much into the the box (it can only support 288 threads) or we have a process that is keeping open a thread open. At the time it goes we are normally processing a low of Linked Server SQL Agent Jobs and generating reports through Crystal Reports.
My options at the moment are either to manually increase the number of threads, or to write a process that will check any connection idle for a period of time, and kill it.
May I have options/thoughts on this ?
