We are still maintaining an old SQL 2000 install. On this server was a job with multiple steps. If any of the job steps ever failed, the job would jump to the last step and execute an extended procedure. A few weeks ago, the server started executing this step even though there were no failures in the job. Fast forward a couple weeks and at this point I've deleted the entire job in question, deleted the extended procedure, and deleted the source .dll from the file system. The system is still executing this step at the intervals defined in the original job. I'm at a lose as to what to try next. I'm not sure if the problem lies with SQL agent or the server itself. Any help would be appriciated.
