Hi all,
I have two SQL Server Instances.
1. Based on WSBS2011.
2. Based on Windows Server 2008.
We have a VPN that points between both severs.
In AD there is a realm trust between both domains.
I have configured both SQL Configuration Managers on the seperate servers to enable TCP/IP.
Opened all ports in the firewall inbound and outbound and also SQL Browser.
We have updated the hosts file in Windows/System32/drivers applying the nessercary IP address.
I can open each instance under SQL Authentication on both servers. When I go to open using Windows Authentication.
On server 1 WSBS2011 . I recieve the following - Cannot Generate SSPI context when I try to log into Server 2 instance with Windows Authentication.
On server 2 Windows Server 2008. I recieve the following - Login failed. The login is from an Untrusted domain and cannot be used with Windows Authentication when I try to log into Server 1 Instance. (Error 18452)
If anyone could point me in the right direction of changest I need to apply or test - Or What I am missing!!! It would be highly appreicated.
Thank You
Kind Regards
Richard.
