Using PerfMon for Monitoring Disk I/O

I'm trying to monitor IOPS on our 2 SQL 2008 R2 database servers. Both servers have 2 RAID 10 arrays setup with the OS/Data on one array and Logs on the other array. We have some hourly stored procedures that are I/O intensive and I've been monitoring these by using the Disk Transfers/Sec counter in perfmon and over a span of 16 minutes. The one server on the Logs array is seeing an average of almost 5,000 IOPS. The system only has 4 drives per RAID 10 array and the disks are SAS 15k drives. I don't think its possible to hit 5,000 IOPS with only 4 drives. Can the perfmon numbers be correct? These IOPS are very heavily write as opposed to read.

Thanks!
