SharePoint database used up 150G tranaction log within 1 hour

I have a SharePoint database server. The datafile size of 'content_intranet' database is 350. The log file was increased to 150G lat night around 3:00AM and used up all the disk space. What could be a possible reason to cause this issue in a SharePoint database?
